An easy, distraction-free device I built in two days. I press a button, speak, and Blue saves what I said as text, so I keep my ideas moving and can study my own mind and how I am progressing over time.
Why I built it
I wanted a simple, distraction-free way to capture ideas the moment I have them, without unlocking a phone. It was inspired by Andrew Huberman. Blue keeps me active and lets me study my own mind and how I am progressing.
What it does
Press the button and speak. Blue records, turns the recording into text and saves it as a note, so no idea is lost.
How I built it
I built the first working device in two days: a Waveshare ESP32-C6 board with a 1.69-inch LCD in a 3D-printed case with three buttons, and a small server hosted on Railway. I wrote the firmware and the server with Claude Code.
